Joe Schneider began his wrestling career as a 7th grader
at Romeo Junior High, in Romeo Michigan, and became a Michigan
All-State Wrestler by his senior year. He continued his career for
one year at Central Michigan University, before transferring as a
red-shirt freshman, to the University of Central Oklahoma. He was a
four-year starter with the Bronchos and was honored to be named an
NCAA All-American wrestler his junior year. He worked at the side of
Coach David James while at UCO, as an assistant coach for two years.
After winning back-to-back national titles in 2002 & 2003
with the Bronchos, there was no doubt he had to be a wrestling
coach.
From 2003-2006 he served as the head coach of the Edmond Santa Fe
Wolves. During time there, Santa Fe saw their first-ever state
placer as well as two other athletes who were state qualifiers.
This will be Coach Schneider’s fifth year as the Millers Head Coach.
In his tenure with the Millers the team has compiled a 44-5 season
record. The team has been crowned Metro Conference Champions and
District Champions three different times.
The Millers have also had 11
individual State Qualifiers and 4 State Placers. Coach Schneider has
been honored by being named Regional Coach of the Year in 2007,
2009, & 2010. He was also named the OCA Large West All-State
Wrestling Coach in 2009, where his team defeated the East 36-18.
Coach Schneider has been married for eight years to Wendy. Together
they have 3 children; Daughters Emily (6 years old), and Aubrey (3
years old), and Son Caleb (1 year old).
Assistant Coach Dane
Meyer began his wrestling career right here in Yukon, Oklahoma.
He started wrestling in 1st
grade, while attending Myers Elementary.
He then wrestled through Junior High,
and High School at
From 1995 – 1997, he was the Assistant
High School Wrestling Coach at Tulsa Union.
From 1998 – 2000, he coached for
Assistant Coach Brock Moore enters his
third season at Yukon High School.
Prior to coming to
Yukon, he was the assistant coach at Choctaw High School from 2000
until 2007.
Assistant Coach Bruce Phillips has coached wrestling here at
“He does a great job with our guys and his responsibilities as a Football coach only help bring in more kids to our program,” said Head Coach Joe Schneider. “I am very pleased to have Coach Phillips helping out with our wrestling team,” said Schneider. Bruce is married to
Mandi and they have two daughters Madison (10yrs. old) and Mia
(5yrs. Old).
Coach Brandon Cromwell started
his wrestling career in Yukon 1987 as a 7th grader.
He has been a wrestling coach in Yukon for the past 11 years.
Coach Cromwell’s first three years of coaching he was Bruce
Randall's assistant coach for IMS.
Cromwell then took over as the Head Coach for IMS.
In 2007 our coaching staff
decided to combine IMS and LMS programs and he became the head Jr.
High Coach. The team
then went undefeated in dual meets and was crowned Conference
Champions that year.
Brandon has a wonderful wife
Heather and two beautiful 5 year old children.
“I am so thankful for them and their constant support of me
and this wrestling program,” said Cromwell.
